MIKUMI DAY TOUR

Brief Information

Early Morning breakfast, pick up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and depart to Mikumi National park witch packed lunch or arrive there in time 11:30 hrs. Check in, game drive starting and will take 3hours. Mikumi National park is most of the 16th National parks and it covers 3230sq kms. Name ‘Mikumi’ derived from tree name ’Borussus palm’. Mikumi is most of nearest park from the business capital city of Dar es Salaam. The park is home for large herd of buffalo, impalas, Zebras, Hyena, Wildebeest, Eland, Baboon, black and white colobus monkey Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizard, hippos at the hippo’s pool and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park such as plovers, hammer kop, starling, and kori bastard. In evening starting depart back to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro and Chalinze town, home to kwele tribe.
